About

Richard Lassiter (he/him) is a writer from rural southeastern Washington state and a licensed funeral director. He earned a B.A. and M.A. in English literature from Washington State University while following his love of the Lake Poets.

Though Richard enjoyed studying literature, his early admiration for his father’s storytelling led him to shift his focus to concentrate on reading and writing creative nonfiction. He is a second year Creative Writing MFA candidate at Georgia College & State University where he teaches composition.

Richard saw his first publication, “Ghost Hunting,” in The MSU Roadrunner Review, (December 2024, issue 7). He hopes to someday see his fiction, poetry, and photography published as well. All photographs on this site are his.
